Yeazell Wins to Join HOF

Clare Yeazell found herself in a cluster of players tied one back of the lead after 27 holes this weekend at Elks Run Golf Club. She finished in style with three straight birdies on 12-14 and six pars on the back for a closing nine 33. That gave her a final round 69 and the fourth win of her Golfweek Junior Tour career. With that, Clare joined the Golfweek Junior Tour Hall of Fame. Kylah Lunsford posted rounds of 76-69 for a 145 total and second place. Meadow Tian shot 75-71 for 146 and third place.

Ray Dress continued his winning ways at Elks Run Golf Club. Just two weeks after wrapping up his first victory at Kearney Hill Golf Links, Ray completed a three shot comeback to grab his second career Golfweek Junior Tour win. He shot an opening round even par 71, but that left him three off the pace. Ray fired a final nine one under par 35 including a final birdie on the 7th hole (his 16th). Jack Ward posted rounds of 68-79 for a 147 total and second place. Third place went to Jonas Borland (77-72) and Landon Harris (72-77) at 149 total.

Holden Orofino posted the round of the tournament of Saturday at Elks Run Golf Club with an even par 71 that included 16 pars. On Sunday, Holden teed off with a six shot lead and was able to have a relatively stress-free day. He shot a final round 77 on Sunday to finish at 148 total. It was the second career win for Holden, and actually was a defended title as Holden won in the spring at Elks run last year too. Zach Ayers went 77-75 for a 152 total and second place. Hudson Burkey and Rocco Humphreys shot identical 79-75, 15 totals and tied for third.

Ethan White shot the round of the day on Saturday at Elks Run Golf Club with a 73. That earned him a three stroke overnight lead. He followed that up wit a very efficient three birdie, two bogey 70 on Sunday which was the round of the tournament. He emerged with a seven stroke margin of victory and the second win of the season. It was the fifth win of Ethan's Golfweek Junior Tour career. Aaron Xu (76-74) and Cole Beckett (78-72) finished with identical 150 totals, which left them tied for second place.

Caroline Lankford won her first Golfweek Junior Tour tournament in just her second career start over the weekend at Elks Run Golf Club. Caroline shot a first round 86 and then followed that up with a second round 78 for a 164 total. The second round included a front nine even par 36 with a birdie on the par 5 third hole.
