Windy weekend at Chatham Hills

On a windy and difficult weekend at Chatham Hills, Connor McNeely took home his first win on the GolfWeek Jr Tour. Connor has played four seasons on tour, and even though he has recorded 8 top-5 performances he has never taken home the win. This weekend he changed that with the lowest round of the event on Sunday, a 3 under par, 69, that included 5 birdies after starting the round with a bogey on the first and second holes. The 5 birdies on Sunday added to the 5 birdies he made on Saturday, which combined for the most of the event. His 142, 2 under par total, was an impressive performance for the 20+ mph winds the course received both days, and the lightning fast greens.

Peyton Blackard took home his first win this season with a solid two day performance of 144, even par. On a weekend where the average score was just over 83 both rounds for his division, Peyton posted the low round Sunday with a 71. His 2 under par performance the last 4 holes is what allowed him to jump into the lead and take home the title by 6 strokes. This marks Peyton's 8th win on tour!
