Tian Continues Sizzling Season




Meadow Tian added to her excellent 2022-2023 season with yet another victory at Avalon Lakes Golf and Country Club over the weekend. Meadow held a share of the first round lead with two other competitors after a Saturday 71. She seized control of the lead with a 35 and never gave it back. She wrapped up Sunday with an even par 72 and fourth win of the season. Meadow's win earned her an exemption into the IMG Junior World at Torrey Pines in July! Lorna Zhang shot 75-70 for a 145 total and second place. Third place went to Kristina Ma after she shot round of 71-75, for a total of 146.


Avalon Lakes Girls 15-19 Results





Clare Yeazell shot the round of the day on both days at Heatherwoode Golf Club to capture the second Golfweek Junior Tour win of her career. Coincidentally, her previous win came almost exactly a year ago at Heatherwoode. Clare took a one stroke lead into Sunday morning, but she separated from the field early with her front nine 35. Her 146 total finished four strokes clear of any other players. Kylee Heidemann shot 78-72 to finished in second at 150. Sydney Deal (80-72) and Caroline Thompson (78-74) both tied for second at 152 total.


Heatherwoode Girls 15-19 Results



AJ Frost posted his career low round with a five under par 67 on Sunday at Avalon Lakes Golf and Country Club to cement his first Golfweek Junior Tour victory. AJ started Sunday outside of the top 10 after his first round 76. He got it going early on Sunday with a birdie on 2 and an eagle on 3. He kept it going long enough to close with a back nine 33 which helped him finish at 143 total. There was a tie for second place one stroke back at 144. Kyle Smith (70-74) and Wes Lorish (73-71) both finished at 144.


Avalon Lakes Boys 16-19 Results





Timmy Hollenbeck shot a four under par 140 over two days at Heatherwoode Golf Club to snag his first Golfweek Junior Tour win. Timmy led the field in birdies with nine on the weekend including five on Sunday which helped him to a 69. Timmy shot a 71 on the first day but birdies on 11 and 13 (his second and fourth holes of the day vaulted him into a lead which he never gave back. Tyler Wirth finished the weekend in second place with scores of 73-71 for a 144 total. Bryson White (70-75) and Owen Queener (72-73) tied for third place at 145 total.






Toku Fujiwara was one stroke back of the leader with two holes to play but parred both holes to pick up his second win of the season at Heatherwoode Golf Club. Toku had the low round of the tournament on Saturday with a one under par 70. Although he was playing well on Sunday, he got caught after 16 holes. He made pars when it mattered most and sealed the deal. Brady Barnum posted a pair of 72s over the weekend which was good for a 144 total and second place. CJ Scohy shot 73-74 andcame in third place at 147.




Sam Fauver used nine birdies over two days at Avalon Lakes Golf and Country Club to post the round of the day in back to back days and pick up his second win of the season. Sam opened with a two under par 70 and followed that up with a clean card on Sunday. He tallied three birdies and no bogeys on Sunday on his way to a three under par 69. Sam finished the weekend at 139, ten clear of the next competitor. Sam's win earned him an exemption into the IMG Junior World at Torrey Pines in July! Charlie Pollock (73-76) and Holden Orofino (75-74) both finished tied for second place at 149.


Avalon Lakes Boys 14-15 Results



In the Boys 13 and Under division, Ben Fauver posted a 67 on Saturday and then cruised home on Sunday for a comfortable win at Avalon Lakes Golf and Country Club. Ben's Saturday round included four birdies and an eagle en route to the 67. His 71 on Sunday was also the round of the day and contributed to the large margin of victory. Ben finished at 138 total, nine clear of the field. Patrick Myers came in second place after shooting 73-74 for a 17 total. Thomas Thanaporn shot a pair of 74s for a 148 total and third place.






In the Boys 13 and Under division at Heatherwoode Golf Club, Alex Cook shot a 75 on Sunday to complete a comeback that earned him his third victory of the year. Alex began the day in third place A birdie on 14 (his fifth hole) gave him a lead he would never relinquish. His 75 on Sunday came on the heels of a 78 on Saturday. Alex finished at 11 over par for the tournament at 153. Austin Nicholas shot 76-78 for a 154 total and second place. Michael Moorman shot 77-79, 156 total and ended in third place.



Calli Reed shot 162 over the weekend at Avalon Lakes Golf and Country Club to capture her first Golfweek Junior Tour title. Calli's weekend included the round of the weekend on Saturday with a 77, her career low. That 77 gave her an eight shot overnight lead. Calli followed that up with an 85. Her 162 total finished five shots clear of the next closest score. Ellie Gonzalez-Ribble came in second place with an 85-82, 167 total. Third place went to Emerson Glending (87-84) and Sarah Vojtko (86-85) at 171 total.







Eva Lim continued her excellent season, picking up yet another victory at Heatherwoode Golf Club over the weekend. The win is Eva's fourth win this season on the Golfweek Junior Tour. Eva had the low round on Saturday with an 84. She grew her lead with a front nine 37 on Saturday. She was able to to bring it home for another win. Eva shot 84-79 for a 163 total over the weekend. Elise Dunkle came in second place with scores of 86-78, 164. Ellie Hartung came in third place after shooting 88-92, 180.
