Sheffer & Tandoc Victorious at NorthStar

Micah Sheffer took home the Boys 16-19 and overall Boys 14-19 division titles for the second straight year at the Elite Event at NorthStar. He fired rounds of 66-67 for an 11-under par total score of 133 to earn his seventh career Golfweek Junior Tour victory. Micah led the field in birdies, carding 12 over the course of the 36 holes of play! Ziqi Lang posted a bogey-free 66 (-6) during the final round to climb the leaderboard and earn runner up honors! Matthew Kreusch and Pierce Stealey tied for 3rd place at 4-under par 140.
Juanita Beatrix Tandoc earned her first win on the Golfweek Junior Tour in commanding fashion posting rounds of 70-68 to take home a six-stroke victory! She carded 10 birdies over the two days of play to lead the Girls 15-19 field. Taylor Harstine continued her excellent season earning runner up honors after rounds of 75-69 to finish the event at level par. Skylar Dean posted rounds of 73-72 to earn third place in her final GWJT event before heading off to Ball State University!
Landon Tropf opened the event with eight birdies enroute to a six under par 66 to hold the overnight lead in the Boys 14-15 division. A final round 73 was good enough to earn a seven-stroke victory and take home his first Boys 14-15 division title! Colton Altenburg earned runner up honors after a final round 70 (-2) propelled him up the leaderboard. William Tschirhart rounded out our podium finishers at 148 (+4).
Holden Orofino took home his third GWJT title at Rock Hollow in Peru, Indiana after posting rounds of 70-73 to finish the event at one under par. He led the field from wire-to-wire to take home the overall Boys 14-19 division title as well! Tyce McClain fired rounds of 71-75 -- 146 (+2) to earn runner up honors. Patrick Dimmitt and Jordan Brod-Glinter tied for third place at 149 (+5).
Piercey Dyer started the final round three strokes back of the overnight leader, Lucy Dunham, who is fresh off a victory at University of Michigan last week. Piercey put the pressure on during the final round carding three birdies enroute to a final round 75 to take home the Girls 15-19 division title by three strokes! Lucy Dunham and Ellie Hartung tied for second place at 156 (+12).
Lyoto Bellon took home the Boys 14-15 division title and led from wire-to-wire with rounds of 71-79. This is his third victory of his young career and first of the new season, congratulations! Hunter Benson earned runner up honors after posting rounds of 73-81 to finish the event at 154 (+10). Evan Sander rounded out the podium finishers at 155 (+11).
The Bellon sweep was complete as Amaya Bellon took home the Girls 14 and Under division title in commanding fashion. She posted back-to-back rounds of 86 to earn a 26-stroke victory! Lexi Martinkovic earned runner up honors with rounds of 95-103.
Anthony Sarmiento is 1 for 1 on the Golfweek Junior Tour after posting rounds of 70-77 to take home the Boys 13 and Under title in his first start on tour! He led the field in birdies carding 7 over the 36 holes of play. Robert Clemency earned runner up honors with rounds of 74-83 -- 157 (+13). Connor Daniels rounded out the podium at 161 (+17).
