Sheffer, Suresh win at Miami University

Micah Sheffer captured his first win in the Boys 16-19 division in his first start and won his first overall title on the GWJT. Micah went into Sunday's round four shots back of the lead but carded 5 birdies on Sunday in route to a two under par 70 and the victory. Forrest Benson and Xavier Huestis tied for second place, both shooting 1 under par for the weekend.

A playoff was needed to decide the Boys 14-15 champion this past weekend at Hueston Woods. Beckett Dodge and Jacob Chien tied at 148 after 36 holes. Beckett and Jacob played the par 3 18th hole where Beckett emerged the winner by making a 12-footer for par. This is Beckett's first win, and he continues his solid play this season after a T3 finish last week at NCR.

Nikitha Suresh captured her first overall girls win on the GWJT. Her steady play at Hueston Woods earned her a 3 shot victory over runner up Sirina Ganne and third place finisher Campbell Drum. Nikitha carded 4 birdies and nothing worse than a bogey this past weekend as she posted rounds of 73-75.

Willa Borough earned her first win on the GWJT this past weekend in the Girls 14 and Under division. Willa fired rounds of 72-75 for an impressive seven shot victory. Second place went to Eva Emerson with rounds of 75-79 and third place to Hannah Kim with rounds of 77-79.
