Sheffer into Hall of Fame at Hueston Woods

Micah Sheffer was one back of the lead heading into the final round after posting a two-under par 70 on Saturday. A back nine, 32 (-4) on Sunday, propelled Micah to the top of the leaderboard to take home the Boys 16-19 and overall Boys 14-19 division titles! This victory also earned Micah a spot in the Golfweek Junior Tour Hall of Fame! Micah carded 7 birdies and 2 eagles over the 36 holes of competition! Brady Evans opened with the round of the day on Saturday with a three-under par 69. Brady carded a 73 on Sunday to earn runner up honors. Drew Deken took home third place after posting rounds of 72-71.

Taylor Harstine dominated the Girls 15-19 division, leading the field from wire to wire. Taylor opened the event with a 2-under par 70, taking a two-stroke lead heading into the final round. She continued her excellent play during Sunday's round, carding five birdies enroute to a three under par 69. Taylor took home a nine-stroke victory for her first win in the Girls 15-19 division! Sophia Fink posted rounds of 72-76 to earn runner up honors. Ellie Hartung fired rounds of 77-72 to finish third place.

Carson O'Korn is the Boys 14-15 Champion after firing rounds of 75-72 --147 (+3). This is Carson's first Golfweek Junior Tour victory. His final round 72 was the round of the day and propelled him to the top of the leaderboard after being four strokes behind after round 1. William Qiao posted rounds of 71-78 to earn a 2nd place finish. Hunter Benson's rounds of 74-76 earned him 3rd place honors.

Amelia Buettner took home the Girls 14 and Under division title after posting back-to-back rounds of 73. Amelia finished the tournament at two-over par 146 and a four-stroke victory. Kate Edwards earned a 2nd place finish after two rounds of 75. Kate led the field in birdies with five over the 2 rounds of play. Eva Emerson rounded out our podium finishers at 152 (+8) with rounds of 77-75.


The Boys 13 and Under division was tied at the top after 36 holes of play between Gavin Davis and Ethan Li. They posted a two-day total score of three over par 147 before heading to a sudden death playoff. Gavin and Ethan would par all four playoff holes before being announced Co-Champions! Beckett Edgerton took home third place honors after rounds of 75-76.

Jack Hutcheson took home his first Golfweek Junior Tour victory at our 36 Hole/1 Day event at NCR Country Club - North Course. Jack took an early lead during round after a two-under par 68. He backed up his excellent play with a final round of level par 70 to take home the Boys 16-19 and overall Boys 14-19 division titles! Patrick Paquette and Alexander Ritter finished in a tie for 2nd place at 139 (-1), one stroke back of the lead. Blaise Krol and Ross Dietz rounded at our top 5 finishers at 140 and 141, respectively.

Elizabeth Coleman took home the Girls 15-19 division at NCR for the second straight year. She fired rounds of 68-69 to finish the event at 137 (-5) to earn a five-stroke victory! Elizabeth led the field in birdies carding eight over the two rounds of play. Sophia Stanton earned runner up honors after posting rounds of 71-71 to finish the event at level par. Emery Warner opened the event with a four-over par round of 75 before turning on the jets during the final round. Emery carded 4 birdies enroute to a final round 69 to take home third place honors.

Myles Ray took home the Boys 14-15 division title by a two-stroke margin after rounds of 71-70 -- 141 (+1). This is Myles first victory on Golfweek Junior Tour! Colton Oake earned runner up honors after posting rounds of 70-73 -- 143 (+3). Joe Adkins and Jackson Adams finished in a tie for third place at 144 (+4).
