Season Finale!

In his first win this season and second of his career, Carter Smith took down one of the largest and strongest fields of 2020. On his way to victory, Carter tied the tournament scoring record with Liam Shinn in 2018 who also shot the same two round total of 66-69-135. Carter recorded 9 birdies and an eagle on his way to the 7 under par total while fending off second place finisher Adam Lauer with rounds of 68-71 in the Boys 16-19.

In her second win in just two starts, Shannon Kennedy also tied the Vanderbilt scoring record with rounds of 70-71-141. The only other player to match that total at Vanderbilt was Alexandra Farnsworth in 2014 who went on to play for Vanderbilt University. On the way to her 3 under par performance, Shannon carded 10 birdies and would win the girls division by 8 strokes over Lauren Slatton who carded the low round of the tournament on Sunday with a 4 under par 68.

In one of the most impressive performances of 2020 for the Boys 14-15 division, Craig Long II came out firing with a first round 66 and took co-medalist honors for the overall boys. In the second round he would make a charge with 2 birdies in the first 5 holes to remain tied for the overall lead with Carter Smith, until falling back to a round of 72. His 4 under total would claim the Boys 14-15 division title by 7 strokes and is his first win of the season.
