Riedel, Hutzler Win Season Opener at Fox Den

Trent Riedel took home the Boys 14-15 and overall Boys 14-19 division titles after posting rounds of 70-71 -- 141 (-1). He tore apart the back nine at Fox Den GC both days with 9's of 33 on Saturday and 32 on Sunday carding seven birdies and no bogies! Trent led the field in birdies carding 10 for the tournament. Great playing, Trent! Nick Pollak and Cole Beckett tied for 2nd place at 148 (+6). Nick posted rounds of 74-74 and Cole with rounds of 76-72.

Ellie Hutzler and Emerson Glending were tied at the top of the leaderboard in the Girls 15-19 division after 36 holes. They posted a two-day total score of 156 (+14) before heading to the par 4 opening hole at Fox Den for a sudden death playoff. Emerson burned the edge of the hole with her birdie chip before Ellie would pour in a 12-foot birdie putt to take home the title! Elizabeth Pollock posted rounds of 80-78 to earn 3rd place at 158 (+16).

Brett Bagatti and Kyle Malicki were also tied at the top after 36 holes of play in the Boys 16-19 division at 142 - level par for the event. Kyle found some tree trouble off the tee, but connected around the green with a chip-in par save! Brett would go on to roll in his 10-foot birdie putt to win the division! Great playing to Brett and Kyle! Jack Mast carded the round of the tournament on Saturday with a 68 (-3) and finished the event at 143 (+1) to earn third place.

Emma Gonzalez-Ribble took home the Girls 14 and Under title after rounds of 84-90 for a two-day total of 174 (+32). Emma led the field from wire-to-wire for her first Golfweek Junior Tour victory! Rachel Rush posted rounds of 88-91 -- 179 (+37) to take home 2nd place.
