Reitsma into the Hall of Fame with Win

At the University of Michigan Golf Course, Cooper Reitsma won the Boys 16-19 division by one stroke over three of his trailing competitors. Cooper carded 6 birdies and an eagle in route to rounds of 73-70, to finish at 1-over par for the event. Brennan Sullivan, Andrew Chang, and John Cassidy all tied for second place at 2-over par, 144. Reitsma won the overall Boys 14-19 division as well, after defeating Tristan Zhang on the first playoff hole. This is Cooper's second overall Boys 14-19 win of the Summer and earned himself a spot in our Hall of Fame!

The Girls 15-19 division needed extra holes to decide the winner. Alexandria LeCureux and Lucy Dunham were tied at the top after 36 holes of competition. The girls went to the par 5 first hole at the University course where Alexandria made a 5-foot birdie putt for the win. Alexandria and Lucy finished with a two-round total score of 156, two strokes ahead of Sophia Lee in third place.

The Boys 14-15 division was also decided by a slim margin as Tristan Zhang took home the trophy with a one-stroke victory. Tristan shot 73-70 to finish one-over par for the event. Two birdies and an eagle during the second round helped Tristan jump the three players that were out in front after the first day. Ben Fauver finished runner up with rounds of 70-74 and Jack Klimek in third with rounds of 74-71.

Patrick Paquette dominated the Boys 14-15 division at Heatherwoode Golf Club and earned himself an eleven-shot victory. He would also take home the overall Boys 14-19 division trophy. Patrick played his final 30 holes of the event bogey-free, making 6 birdies in that stretch to finish the event with a total score of 136, six-under par. Brody Hayes and Jack Hutcheson finished in a tie for second place at five-over par, 147.

Ruohan Chen led the Girls 15-19 division wire-to-wire with rounds of 70-73 to finish the 36-hole event at one-over par, nine strokes ahead of Sydney Deal in second place. Ruohan carded 6 birdies and an eagle over the two rounds of competition. Sydney shot 75-77 to finish solo-second and one shot ahead of third place. Ally Turner rounded out our podium finishers with rounds of 81-72. Ally's 72 in the second round was the low round of the day for the girl's division.

Andrew Gochenouer took home the Boys 16-19 division after making 10 birdies over the two rounds played. Andrew was three strokes behind the leaders after day 1, but seven birdies in round 2 propelled him up the leaderboard to end the event with scores of 71-66, five-under par. Luke Siefker, Charlie Mullin, and Aiden Standifer all finished in a tie for second place at 140, two-under par. Notably, Peyton Lawley shot the round of the tournament on day two with a bogey-free 65, to finish the event in a tie for 5th place.

Pablo Madrigal won the Boys 13 and under division by a commanding nine-stroke margin. Pablo carded rounds of 70-72 to finish the event at level-par, 142. Daniel Uriel and Arnav Rao round out our podium finishers with two-day totals of 151 and 154, respectively.
