Coming into the second round Lorenzo was tied with Jack Vojtko at 2 under par after a first round 70. After a slip up on the par 5 second hole with a bogey, Lorenzo would go on a charge and record 7 birdies and no bogies on the final 16 holes. Lorenzo would claim the Boys 16-19 title and overall boys title by 6 strokes.
Payton Bennett recorded one of the lowest rounds at Michigan State for the GolfWeek Jr Tour girls division with a 4 under par 68 on Wednesday. Her round would include 5 birdies and only 1 bogey for the round and finished the round and tournament off with a birdie on the 18th and final hole. She would capture the girls title by 8 strokes over Sydney Deal with a final score of 147.
