Red Hot Week in Lafayette

Brock Reschly took home his first victory on the GolfWeek Jr Tour this week at Purdue's Ackerman golf course with a red hot opening round of 66 on Tuesday. His opening round was his lowest on tour by 5 strokes and gave him a 6 stroke lead heading into the final round. On Wednesday Thomas Broshears would make a charge with 7 birdies and post a 68, but would fall 2 strokes short at 145. Brock's 143 total would take home the Boys 16-19, and overall boys title.

Gracey Kelly took home her first win in 2 years on the GolfWeek Jr Tour with a consistent two round performance of 77-77 for a 154 total. Gracey was able to hold off Caroline Thompson who played her final 3 holes in 1 under par, making a birdie on the final hole. It wasn't enough to overtake Gracey, though, and she took home a 2 stroke victory.

Silas Haarer also took home his first victory on tour with the help of the low round of his division, a final round 72. Silas would play solid golf the entire event with only 1 double bogey, 6 bogies and 4 birdies on his way to a four over par finish. He would overtake first round leader Brayden Lamborne with a birdie on the 35th hole of the event and both players would par the final hole for Silas to win by 1 stroke.

Kennedy Lancaster took home a victory over Olivia Donovan in her first appearance on the GolfWeek Jr Tour in the Girls 14 & Under division.

Brycen Tisch also took home his first victory on the GolfWeek Jr Tour this weekend by posting the low round each day in his division. He would tie for the most birdies with 5 for the event, and claim a 5 stroke victory over Austin Nicholas.
