Plenty of red at Apple Valley


Adding to his Hall of Fame career on the GolfWeek Jr Tour, Tyler Sabo added another title this past weekend at Apple Valley. The Ohio State commit put together 11 birdies and 1 eagle for the 36 hole event and posted a 10 under par, 134 total. Tyler would birdie his final two holes to cap off the weekend, which would give him the win by 7 strokes over Brett Podobinski,



In her first start on the GolfWeek Jr Tour, Brooklyn Millard would claim the Girls 15-19 title and the overall Girls title by 7 strokes. Brooklyn would also birdie the last 2 holes on Sunday to post 71-71 for a 2 under par total of 142. For the weekend she would post 6 birdies and an eagle.





In a dominant performance Vaughn Harber took home the Boys 14-15 title this past weekend by 9 strokes and posted the lowest round of the tournament for his age division. His first round 70 came with 4 birdies and an eagle and would capture the low round of the tournament by 3 strokes. He backed up his first round with a solid 74 that included 3 birdies and 5 bogies.




Lorna Zhang has taken home the Girls 14 & Under division title in back - to - back weekends with a win last weekend at North Star and now claiming another win at Apple Valley. Her win this week required a comeback from the first round where Meadow Tian led the field with her 73. Lorna would post a 73 for herself in the second round and claim the win by just 2 strokes.





The boys 13 & Under became a 2 man race on Sunday between Jackson Harris and Brady Barnum. Heading into the back nine Sunday, Brady held a 2 stroke lead over Jackson at 5 under par. Jackson, however, stepped his game up on the back nine and posted 4 birdies and no bogies for a 32 and would jump in front of Brady and claim the division title with a 7 under par finish for the event.
