Parker, Zhang win at Purgatory GC

Purgatory Golf Club in Noblesville, Indiana proved to be another great test of golf for our players as windy and firm conditions developed over the 36 holes of competition. The Boys 16-19 division had a jam-packed leaderboard that needed a sudden death playoff at the end to decide its victor. Tyler Marucci led the way by 3 strokes through the first round with a 6-under par, 66! Ryan Parker, who carded an opening round 69, tied the lead halfway through the final round after making the turn at 1-under par. Tyler and Ryan battled neck and neck through the final nine holes of regulation play to eventually both finish with a two-day total score of 4-under par, 140. They would tie the first 3 playoff holes and head to the par 4, 6th hole. Ryan Parker would hole his 30-foot birdie putt from just off the green to take home the Boys 16-19 and overall Boys 14-19 division titles!
