Ofield victorious at Rock Hollow GC
Rock Hollow Golf Club played host to another great event with great competition, low scores, and Larry the Cable Guy! The Boys 16-19 division was won by Grant Ofield, out of Ada, Michigan. Grant was one stroke back of fellow Ada resident, Cooper Reitsma, heading into the final round. Grant carded 5 birdies in the final round to post a two-day total of 3-under par, 141 and take home the trophy. Cooper finished runner-up at 1-over par, 145. Sawyer O'Grady and Gavin Haiflich tied for third place at 4-over par, 148.
Grant Ofield also took home the overall Boys 14-19 division title after defeating Macaulay Myers in a playoff. Both players went to the 265-yard first hole at Rock Hollow to begin the sudden death playoff. Grant Ofield teed off first and played a beautiful, high draw 3 iron to the middle of the green where he would eventually two-putt for a birdie and the win!
The Boys 14-15 division was jam-packed at the top of the leaderboard coming down the stretch. Macaulay Myers got off to a quick start in the final round playing his first 5 holes 3 under par. He continued his excellent play through the back nine to hold off charging Landon Tropf and Elijah Lemmon to take home the title. Macaulay shot rounds of 70-71 for a two-day total of 141, 3-under par. Landon Tropf carded rounds of 73-69 to finish the event one-stroke off the lead at 2-under par. Elijah Lemmon rounded out our top 3 at level par for the event.
