Morency & Tropf Win at Michigan State & Ball State

Marshall Morency and Christian Helzer held the overnight lead in the Boys 16-19 division after opening with rounds of 70, two under par. Marshall continued his excellent play during the final round, carding five birdies and an eagle enroute to a one under par, 71. His two-day total score of 141 (-3) earned him a one stroke victory in the Boys 16-19 and overall Boys 14-19 divisions! Colin Riehl posted rounds of 72-70 to earn runner up honors at two under par for the event, 142. JP Levan and Max Li finished in a tie for third place at two over par for the event, 146.

Olivia Griswold took home the Girls 15-19 division after a back-and-forth battle with Kassandra Rombouts and Hannah Kim. Olivia posted rounds of 77-78 to earn a two-stroke victory at 155 (+11). Kassandra earned runner up honors after carding rounds of 77-80. Kassandra led the field in birdies connecting on five over the 36 holes of play. Hannah Kim fired rounds of 81-77 to round out the Girls podium finishers.

Tommy Preston took command of the Boys 14-15 division during the final round, after sharing the overnight lead with Parker Westcott. Tommy posted rounds of 76-73 and finished the event at five over par to earn a five-stroke victory! Parker Westcott fired rounds of 76-78 to earn runner up honors at 154, ten over par. Stefan Baier rounded out the podium finishers after carding back-to-back 78s.

Weijian Lu took home the Boys 13 and Under division title after rounds of 73-78 -151 (+7). He played his final 8 holes in one under par to hold on to the top spot by one stroke! Weijian led the field in birdies connecting on nine over the two days of play! Coleson Paez earned runner up honors after firing back-to-back rounds of 76. Austin Carter posted rounds of 81-84 to earn third place.

Landon Tropf earned his 3rd career Golfweek Junior Tour victory at Ball State's - The Players Club. Landon fired rounds of 70-69 to finish the event at 5 under par and take home the Boys 16-19 and overall Boys 14-19 division titles! Landon and Hayden Fox led the field in birdies with 10 over the two days of play. Brayden Lamborne posted back-to-back rounds of 71 to finish at 2 under par for the event and earn runner up honors. Nathan Springer rounded out the podium finishers after the round of the tournament, 68 (-4), propelled him up the leaderboard on Sunday!

Alex Cook racked up another victory in the Boys 14-15 division after rounds of 69-73 to lead the tournament from wire-to-wire. He finished the event at two under par, 142, to take the title by a commanding four stroke margin! Alex Hasselbeck earned runner up honors after firing rounds of 71-75, two over par for the event. Keaton Knott posted rounds of 69-78 to take home third place.

Scribner Dailey, IV took home the Boys 13 and Under division with rounds of 71-72 -- 143 (-1) and earned a three-stroke victory! Gavin Davis led the field in birdies with 10 enroute to a runner up finish after rounds of 71-75. Max Huffman rounded out the podium with rounds of 70-79 to finish the event at five over par.
