Montoya at Michigan

In his first start on the GolfWeek Jr Tour, Luke Montoya got off to a tough start with a double bogey on his first hole, and a bogey on the second. It was after his three over start that Luke went on fire with 5 birdies on the front nine and another 2 on the back nine. His first round 67 was the low score in the Boys 14-15 division by 6 strokes and would only trail Drew Miller, 66, in the Boys 16-19. In round two, Luke Montoya's round would be very different with 17 pars and just 1 bogey. His consistent play was more than enough to win the Boys 14-15 division by 6 strokes, and overtake Drew Miller for the overall Boys 14-19 title.

Also playing in her first GolfWeek Jr Tour event, Grace Wang took home the Girls title by a narrow margin of 2 strokes over Jenna Shilts. After a slow start on Sunday, Jenna would make a charge on the back nine going 1 under the last 6 holes, but it wasn't enough to overtake Grace who would card the low round of the event on Sunday with a 73. Grace's win was due, in large part, to the 6 birdies she recorded on the weekend, the most of any player in her division.

Drew Miller recorded his best personal and best tournament round of his career Saturday with a 5 under par, 66, that included an amazing 7 birdies. He would take a 6 stroke lead into Sunday and close out a 3 stroke victory by almost holing out on the last hole. This marks Drew's 9th victory on the GolfWeek Jr Tour in a career that has spanned 4 seasons and continues to be a dominate player on the tour.

Carson Everett made his first hole in one this weekend with a 4 iron at University of Michigan's 12th hole, playing over 200 yards!!
