Miller, Reitsma win at Dayton CC
Lauren Miller won the Girls 15-19 division by a commanding 12 strokes. She carded rounds of 77-75 which included 5 birdies, the most birdies by any girl in the field. Maureen Burns and Marissa GeRue round off our podium finishers with total scores of 164 and 165, respectively.
Cooper Reitsma carded 9 birdies in route to winning both the Boys 16-19 and overall Boys 14-19 titles with rounds of 69-70. His aggressive strategy off the tee, and consistent play into the green, led to a 4-stroke victory over charging Michael Fickle and Jackson Pinney. Fickle shot the low round of the tournament, a 65, in round 2.
William Tschirhart played his final 9 holes of the tournament even par with 2 birdies to surpass his competitors to take home the Boys 14-15 title. William finished with 8 birdies in total for rounds of 75-72 to win by 1 stroke over Julian Sinishtaj. Although falling just short, Julian fired consistent arounds of 74-74. Blayze Chapman finished in third place with rounds of 74-75.
Carson Scheiben took home the hardware in our Boys 13 & Under division. Carson played his final four holes 2 under par to secure the one-stroke victory. He finished with a tournament total of one under par 143. Blaise Barnum finished in solo second after rounds of 71-73 for a total score of 144. Zac McGrath rounded out our top 3 with a total score of 147.
