Lang Scorches Field at WKU

Jacob Lang wasted no time getting his season started off right. Jacob poured in 11 birdies and zero bogeys over two days at Bowling Green Country Club to secure his third Golfweek Junior Tour win. His back to back clean cards consisted of five birdies on day one and six birdies on day two on his way to an 11-under 133 total. That score lapped the field as Jacob won by a whopping nine strokes. Reed Richey finished the weekend in second place with scores of 72-70 for a 142 total. Griffin Barke came in third with 71-73, 144 total.

Reagan Ramage (73-72) emerged from a three-way playoff Sunday at Bowling Green Country Club with a win and her fourth career Golfweek Junior Tour victory. Reagan led the field in birdies with nine for the two days and that earned her a spot in the playoff. She parred the first hole of the playoff, the 15th hole to win. The win comes on the future home course for Reagan as she is committed to Western Kentucky University and will begin there in the fall of 2025. Keira Yun (78-67) and Isabella Anderson (72-73) both tied for second place at 145 total.

Luc Kelty led the field in birdies for the weekend with seven and that was just enough to get him through with his second career Golfweek Junior Tour victory. Luc posted scores of 75 on Saturday and 73 on Sunday to escape with a one stroke victory. Three birdies in a six hole stretch on the front nine on Sunday (holes 2-7) turned out to be just what Luc needed to propel him to the win. Landon Hunt put up scores of 74-75 to finish in second place at 149. Carson Long (77-73) shot 150 and came in third place.

Sage Shriver posted the lowest score on Saturday in the Girls 14 and Under field and then used that first-round four stroke lead to cement the win to Sunday. The win at Bowling Green Country Club is the first for Sage in her very first Golfweek Junior Tour start. Sage led the field in birdies on the weekend. She shot scores of 98-100 for a 198 total. Ellie Morgan captured second place with scores of 106-95, 201 total. Deeya Patel (104-99) shot a 203 and finished the weekend in third place.
