Lamborne Captures Victory at Purdue Ackerman

Brayden Lamborne earned his first Golfweek Junior Tour victory after a final round 64 (-8) propelled him up the leaderboard. He led the field with 12 birdies and an eagle over the 36 holes of play enroute to his impressive victory. Brayden finished the event with a total score of 134, ten under par to take home the one stroke victory in both the Boys 16-19 and overall Boys 14-19 divisions! Brayden Worthington carded rounds of 66-69 to earn runner up honors at 135 (-9). Nathan Springer posted rounds of 67-74 to finish 3rd place at three under par.
Alex Gardner started the final round 3 strokes back of the leader, Myles Ray (71). Alex turned on the jets on Sunday connecting on six birdies enroute to a final round 67 to take home the Boys 14-15 division title. Alex finished the event at 141 (-3) and earned a five-stroke victory. Carson Scheiben earned runner up honors after firing back-to-back rounds of 73 to finish the event at two over par, 146. Alex Cook posted rounds of 73-74 to finish the event at 147 (+3) to round out our podium finishers.
Gavin Davis earned his 6th Career Golfweek Junior Tour victory after an impressive weekend on the Purdue's Ackerman-Allen course. He fired rounds of 66-68 to finish the event at 10 under par and took home a three-stroke victory! Gavin led the field in birdies, carding 14 enroute to his win. Ethan Li was our co-leader after an opening round 66 and followed it up with a one under par 71 to earn runner up honors. Jackson Blanda posted rounds of 71-67 to round out our podium finishers at six under par.
