Jones Wins Again




Ieuan Jones returned to the winner's circle again this weekend at Washtenaw Golf Club. Ieuan won for the 10th time in his Golfweek Junior Tour career. It was the first time since October 2021 for him. Ieuan posted rounds of 70-71 for a 141 total. After a double bogey on the 36th hole, he went to extra holes. There, he was able to edge out Robert Burns on the second playoff hole to secure the victory. Robert posted the low round of the tournament with a scorching 65 on Saturday that included a front nine 30, tying the GJT record. He carded rounds of 65 and 76. Brennan Sullivan finished in third place after shooting 74-68, 142.






Leandro Pinili picked up the first win of his GJT career this weekend. After six previous top 5 finishes, Leandro broke through with the low round of the day on Saturday with a 75. He then back it up with a 73 on Sunday which tied for the low round of the day. The 148 total score was good enough to best Dominic Gaudino by 2 shots. Dominic finished in second place after shooting rounds of 77 and 73 on Saturday and Sunday, respectively. Kameron Knox tallied a third place finish by posting 77-75 for a 152 stroke total.
