Hill & Campbell Victorious at Elks Run



Dixon Hill found herself 5 strokes off the lead heading into the final round after carding an opening round of 77 (+6). She would come out firing in the final round, connecting on 5 birdies enroute to a 1-under par, 70. Dixon's round of 70 was the round of the tournament and earned her the Girls 15-19 division title by a commanding 5 stroke margin! Nikitha Suresh, our overnight leader, finished runner up after rounds of 72-80 -- 152 (+10). Sophia Stanton carded rounds of 77-76 --153 (+11) which earned her 3rd place honors! Sophia and Dixon led the field in birdies for the weekend with seven!






Our Boys 16-19 division needed extra holes to decide its victor after 36 holes of competition. Landon Harris and Jonathan Campbell carded matching rounds of 68 during the final round to get to 1 under par for the tournament. After a final round 65 (-6) propelled him up the leaderboard, Talen Beane also found himself in the tie for the lead! Jonathan Campbell would edge out Talen and Landon on the second playoff hole with a par and take home the Boys 16-19 and overall Boys 14-19 division titles! Alex Rollman finished in fourth place at 144 (+2), after an excellent final round of 70 (-1). CJ Scohy and Sam Reynolds tied for 5th place at 146 (+4).






Alex Cook (2029) carded consistent rounds of 72-72 to earn the Boys 14-15 division title at 144 (+2). This is his 2nd GWJT victory in the Boys 14-15 division, and 10th of his career! He led the field in birdies, connecting on 6 of them enroute to his 4-stroke victory. Patrick Paquette finished runner up after rounds of 75-73 -- 148 (+6). Parker Isaacs rounded out our podium finishers carding 76-74 -- 150 (+8).






The Boys 13 & Under division was a tight race to finish as the final foursome of players were all within 3-stroke of each other with 9 holes to play during the final round. Trent Reidel was able to fend off his charging competitors playing his final 9 holes in 2 under par. Trent carded rounds of 74-72 -- 146 (+4) to earn a 1 stroke victory! Hunter Majors shot the round of the tournament on Sunday with a 1-under par 70. Although he came up one stroke shy, Hunter also made a Hole-In-One during Saturday's round of the par-3 12th Hole at Elks Run! Congratulations Hunter! Benjamin Vento and Hayden Li finished in a tie for 3rd place at 150 (+8).
