Harstine earns Hall of Fame Win at Darby Creek

Taylor Harstine started the final round two strokes back of the lead after an opening round 74 (+2). Her play only got more impressive as the conditions worsened in the final round as high winds stormed through Darby Creek, Taylor carded an eagle and a birdie in the final round to post a one under par round of 71 and finished the tournament at 145 (+1). She earned a four-stroke victory in the Girls 15-19 division and sealed her entry into the Golfweek Junior Tour Hall of Fame! Taylor, who is in 8th grade, is the youngest player to earn a spot in our Hall of Fame, Congratulations! Anna Phillips earned runner up honors after rounds of 72-77 -- 149 (+5). Angelina Chang posted rounds of 74-77 to round out our top 3 finishers.

After opening with a four under par, 68, Trent Riedel held a two-stroke lead heading into the final round. Trent battled through the windy conditions to post a one under par final round of 71 to finish the event at 139 (-5). This earned Trent the victory in the Boys 14-15 and overall Boys 14-19 divisions, great playing! Carson Scheiben posted rounds of 73-70 to finish the event at one under par and earn runner up honors. Carson O'Korn rounded out the podium finishers with rounds of 75-70.

The Boys 16-19 division needed extra holes to decide its victor after Jack Marsh and Mac Ferguson were tied after 36 holes of play at 140 (-4). Both players made par on the first playoff hole before Jack would roll in a par putt on the second to take home the title! Jack earned his fourth Golfweek victory with rounds of 68-72. Mac Ferguson earned runner up honors with rounds of 69-71. Will Mangas earned third place honors after rounds of 70-72.

The Girls 14 and Under division also needed extra holes to decide its champion. Taylor Ross and Mia Xu were tied at 152 (+8) after 36 holes of play. Taylor and Mia played the par 4, 10th hole at Darby Creek for their playoff where Taylor Ross would save par and take home the division title! Taylor posted rounds of 73-79 to earn her first Golfweek Junior Tour victory! Mia Xu earned runner up honors with rounds of 76-76/ Amelia Ricker posted rounds of 78-77 to take home 3rd place honors.

Gavin Davis led the Boys 13 and Under division from wire to wire with two impressive rounds of 68-70. He led the field in birdies or better, carding eight birdies and two eagles enroute to his victory! Gavin finished the event with a two-stroke victory at 138 (-6). Max Humphreys earned runner up honors after rounds of 72-68 -- 140 (-4). Micah Ferguson earned third place honors after rounds of 71-71.
