Garcia, Kreusch Heat Up at Dayton CC

Janelle Garcia earned her first Golfweek Junior Tour victory at Dayton CC after leading the Girls 15-19 division from wire-to-wire. Janelle connected on eight birdies over the 36 holes of play, the most of any player! She carded 74-75 to post a two round total score of 149 (+5). Gracyn Alexander, University of Findlay commit, fired a 2nd round 73 to earn runner up honors at 151 (+7). Katie Husted, Ohio University commit, posted rounds of 78-74 to take home 3rd place.
Matthew Kreusch fired rounds of 71-69 to earn his third Golfweek Junior Tour win! His bogey-free second round 69 (-1), consisted of 17 pars and 1 birdie! Mathew finished the event at level par to take home a four-stroke victory in the Boys 16-19 and overall Boys 14-19 divisions! Chase Stafford and Noah Mulford tied for 2nd place at 144 (+4). Chase carded rounds of 72-72 and Noah posted 73-71. Kadan Harris and Declan Richardson tied for 4th place to round out our top 5 finishers at 146 (+6).
Casey Kopecky earned his first Golfweek Junior Tour win in the Boys 14-15 division after posting rounds of 78-73. His final round 73 propelled him up the leaderboard from five strokes back to start the final round! William Tschirhart earned 2nd place honors after firing rounds of 73-81 -- 154 (+14). Aidan Louthan carded a final round 72 to jump into third place after an opening round 84 to finish the event at 156 (+16).
