First winners of 2021!
It took a playoff to determine the overall Girl's champion this past weekend at Bowling Green CC.
Lydia Swan and Lexi Schulman headed to a playoff after tying at 152 for the tournament Sunday afternoon and a par on the 1st playoff hole would be enough to secure the victory for Lydia Swan. Lydia would post 4 birdies for the tournament and a solid 75-77 in cold and windy weather, This is her first victory on the GolfWeek Jr Tour after a pair of second places finishes in 2020 and 2018.

Grant Puckett posted the round of the tournament on Sunday with an impressive 2 under par, 70, to take home the Boys 16-19 and overall Boys title by just 1 stroke over Caden Cannon. Grant, a Brescia University commit, posted an incredible front nine score of 32 and would even get another birdie on the back nine before settling for a final score of 70. This is Grant's 1st win on the GolfWeek Jr Tour.
Michaela Headlee remains undefeated on the GolfWeek Jr Tour with her second win in two starts. Her two rounds of 77-77 was enough to win the Girls 14 & Under division this past weekend by 13 shots and almost got her into a playoff for the overall Girls title. Michaela posted 4 birdies for the weekend and after taking the lead in her first nine holes, never gave it up.
In his first event on the GolfWeek Jr Tour since his win at the Tour Championship last June, Warren Thomis was dominate in the Boys 14-15 division with rounds of 75-76 to claim the title by 5 strokes. With 6 birdies for the weekend, Warren was able to hold off Daniel Heister and Brady Smith to claim the first victory of 2021.
