First win for Sutto


Logan Sutto not only won his first event on the GolfWeek Jr Tour in the Boys 14-15 division, he also won the overall Boys 14-19 title this weekend. His first round 68 gave him medalist honors and he was able to back it up with the a solid round of 73 and narrowly edge out Sam Sutton by 1 stroke. He also led the field with birdies this week, carding 9 of them between the two rounds.




Alec Cesare took home another win this season on the GolfWeek Jr Tour following up his win just a few weeks ago at Notre Dame. After starting the round Sunday with a double bogey on the first hole, he fought back with 4 birdies and 0 bogies over the next 17 holes. Alec posted a final 36 hole score of 144 and tied Bryce Wheeler who was playing in his first GolfWeek Jr Tour event. Bryce and Alec would head to the 1st hole where both would par, and on the next hole Alec's par would take home the victory.




Ava Bunker led the Girls 15-19 division with birdies this weekend, carding 7 of them between the two days. Her two solid rounds of 76-76 was enough to take home the victory this weekend by 3 strokes over Lauren Kaltenmark, who carded the low round of the event, Sunday, with a 75.




Landon Snyder led the Boys 13 & Under division with 6 birdies this weekend, on his way to a 4 stroke victory. This marks Landon's second victory this season with his other win at Indiana University in July. Macaulay Myers, who eventually would come in second, played solid down the stretch with 5 pars to finish the round and close the gap with Landon.
