First time winners!
Owen Sander claimed his first win on the GolfWeek Jr Tour this past weekend at Purdue's Kampen golf course with an impressive 4 under par performance. His play was so consistent, he did not record a single double bogey, and only carded 3 bogies the entire event on the very difficult Kampen golf course. He did have to hold off Alec Cesare who was making a late charge playing his last 5 holes in 2 under, but it would not be enough to over take Owen who would claim the Boys 16-19 title as well as the overall Boys 14-19 title by 2 strokes.
Keaton Parmley also claimed his first title on the GolfWeek Jr Tour with his win this past weekend. He carded the low round of the tournament in his division on Sunday with an impressive 3 under par, 69, that included 4 birdies and just 1 bogey. His Sunday round allowed him to overtake Jack Besner and Finley Bartlett who were tied at 72 after the first round, but would fall 1 and 3 strokes short respectively.
Ally Turner took home her first win on the GolfWeek Jr Tour this weekend and it took the low round of the tournament on Sunday, a 76, for her to claim the win by just 1 stroke over Kasey Cameron and Ava Bunker. Ally was even par on her last 7 holes and carded 2 birdies on the day at the 3rd and 12th holes. This marks Ally's first win in just her second year on the GolfWeek Jr Tour.
It took a final round 67 and a win in a playoff for Caden Baker to win this past weekend. His final round 67 was the low round of the tournament by 3 strokes and would force a playoff with Landon Snyder who carded the second low round of the tournament with a 2 under par, 70, on Sunday. After play, the two would immediately return to #18 for the playoff and Caden would par the hole again for the win. Caden's closing 9 holes would include 5 birdies and 3 of them coming in the last 4 holes.
