Feeney and Coleman take first win of the season
Playing in his first GolfWeek Jr Tour event, Sam Feeney took home the win by two strokes with rounds of 68-69. His tournament was defined by consistent play with 5 birdies, 2 bogies and 29 pars. The 2025 grad played his last 15 holes 2 under par to complete the event and edge out University of Dayton commit, Robert Gerwin III.
On a day where players completed 36 holes, it would take Elizabeth Coleman an extra 2 holes in a playoff to take home the Girls 15-19 division title. Elizabeth and Alyssa Zhang would complete regulation play in a tie at 2 under par 140 and would head to a playoff to determine the champion. The first playoff hole would result in a tie with pars, but Elizabeth's par on the second playoff hole, #11, was enough to take home the title. This is her first win on the GolfWeek Jr Tour in just 6 starts.
Matthew Kreusch took home his first title on the GolfWeek Jr Tour with two solid rounds of 72-72 for a 3 stroke win over Griffin Wullenweber. His play was consistent throughout the 36 hole day with 3 birdies, 7 bogies and 26 pars. This would mark his first win on tour with just 7 starts.
