Curtis and Singh win at EKU Gibson Bay

Liam Curtis took home the Boys 16-19 and overall Boys 14-19 division after firing a final round 68 (-4), consisting of 5 birdies, to finish the event at 140 (-4). He carded an opening round of even par 72 and was tied for the lead heading into Sunday's round. Liam finished his 2nd round with 3 birdies over the final six holes to solidify his first Golfweek Junior Tour victory by eight strokes! Duff McKay, Boo Crawley, Zach Gladieux, Charlie Spiller and Blaise Krol all tied for 2nd place at 148 (+4). Zach, Charlie and Blaise carded under par final rounds of 71 (-1). Great playing to all!

The Girls 15-19 division was dominated by 9-time GWJT Champion, Athena Singh, who carded rounds of 74-69--143 (-1). She led the field with 7 birdies over the two rounds, including three in a row during the final round to propel her to a 13-stroke victory. Keisha Han finished runner up with rounds of 81-75--156 (+12). Mollie Neeley rounded out our podium finishers at 162 (+18) with rounds of 82-80.

Michael Quallich led the Boys 14-15 division from wire-to-wire with rounds of 71-72--143 (-1). His opening round of 1-under par earned him a 5-stroke lead that he would extend to a 12-stroke victory! Michael also led the overall Boys 14-19 division after the opening round and finished runner up behind Liam Curtis! Mason Morton finished 2nd place in the 14-15 division after rounds of 82-73--155 (+11). Ashton Gordon and Anderson Lang finished in a tie for 3rd place after rounds of 83-73--156 (+12).

Rosie Patterson took home the Girls 14 & Under division after rounds of 75-82--157 (+13). Rosie's stellar round of 75 included 2 birdies and a front nine score of 1-under par 35! Taylor Harstine finished runner up after rounds of 89-80--169 (+25). Rosie was also in contention in the overall Girls 11-19 division as she found herself 1-stroke back of Athena Singh after the first round. She would finish 3rd in the overall Girls 11-19 division!

The Boys 13 & Under division was a tight race to the finish as 6 players finished within 4 strokes of the lead! Austin Britt and Mason Etscorn led the way through the opening round by 5 strokes with matching 76's (+4). Austin held on to the lead after a final round 79 sealed the 1-stroke victory for a total score of 155 (+11). Leo Cha carded a 2-over par 74, the round of the tournament, on Sunday to propel him up the leaderboard into 2nd place and 1-stroke back at 156 (+12). Mason Etscorn carded rounds of 76-81--157 (+13) to round out our top 3. Hayden Li, Graham Moore and Max Huffman all finished in a tie for 4th place at 159 (+15).
