Cesare at Notre Dame

Alec Cesare must like the Warren course at Notre Dame, as two of his three wins on the GolfWeek Jr Tour have come on this course. This weekend he got off to a blistering start with a first round 65. That took medalist honors by 4 strokes over Angelo Luciani, however, it was a close match heading into the final holes on Sunday. After a quick start on the front nine, Angelo had pulled to within just 1 stroke heading into the 15th hole. A birdie for Alec and 3 more pars to finish the round would give him the victory and the overall Boys 14-19 victory as well.

After claiming Player of the Year honors last season in the Boys 13 & Under division, Brayden Miller has moved into the Boys 14-15 division and claimed his first victory. With two solid rounds of 72-73, he would secure the victory by just 1 stroke over Logan Sutto, who birdied his final hole to come close. Brayden would never card more than a bogey all weekend, and would card 5 birdies and 8 bogies on his way to a 3 over total.

Jenna Shilts claimed the Girls 15-19 division this weekend with two solid rounds of 81-81 and would take home the title by 3 strokes over Liv Parramore. Liv would make a charge on the front nine Sunday with a 37 but would fall short in the closing holes as Jenna continued to play steady golf.

Caden Baker took home his first victory on the GolfWeek Jr Tour this weekend at Notre Dame's Warren course by posting the low round of the tournament. His four birdies on Sunday would allow him to post a 70, and take home the title by four strokes over Landon Snyder.
