64 at Purdue Ackerman

Ryan Ford took home his third win on the GolfWeek Jr Tour this past weekend with a blistering 64-70, 10 under par 134 total. Ryan led the field with par breakers with 11 birdies and 2 eagles for the weekend, and his 64 is just 2 strokes off the 18 hole tour scoring record of 62, set by Drew Salyers in 2019. After his great round on Saturday, he got off to a slow start Sunday morning with a 38 on the front nine, but quickly turned things around with 3 birdies and an eagle on the back nine for a closing 32.

Sydney Deal recorded her lowest 36 hole score on the GolfWeek Jr Tour this weekend with rounds of 71-71 for a 2 under par total. This is her 9th win on tour, and she continues to lower her scores each season. Her highlight of the weekend came late in the round on Saturday when she closed the final 6 holes with 5 birdies. She also led the field with par breakers with 11 birdies for the weekend.

Brayden Miller, coming off a win last weekend at Notre Dame, was able to make another comeback on Sunday with the low round of the tournament in his age division, a 2 under par, 70. This round was low enough to edge out Happy Gilmore who posted an even par total of 144. This is Brayden's 2nd win in just 2 starts this season and he is leading the player of the year race again, after having won Player of the Year last season in the Boys 13 & Under division.

Coming off a playoff loss just a few weeks ago, Eli Wessel returned to the winners circle with 2 outstanding rounds of 68-71 for a 5 under par total. Things did get close late on Sunday, though, when Micah Sheffer made a charge on the back nine with a closing 32, however, Eli would remain calm, and birdie the 17th hole and close out a 2 stroke victory. This is Eli's second win this season on tour and is 3rd place in the Player of the Year race.
