36 Holes at Dayton CC
It has been 3 years since Ty Sylla has won on the GolfWeek Jr Tour and it took his lowest round on the tour to claim the victory. He opened the event with a 2 over par, 72, that included 3 bogies and 1 birdie. That placed him just 1 stroke off the lead of Kyle Salamon and Brody Simms.
He would then start the afternoon round with a 33 as he made his charge, but would have to hold off AJ Wilhelm who carded a 3 under par 33 on the last nine to only come up 1 stroke short of Ty's even par, 140 performance.
Klaira Paramore would overcome a difficult start to her tournament after hitting a wrong ball on the first hole and carding a triple bogey to start the 36 hole day. She would then improve on her opening nine 44, with each nine holes. Her scorecard would read 44 - 41 - 40 - 35 as she improved as the day went on. It was ultimately a close match between Klaira Paramore and Clare Yeazell as the final victory was only by 1 stroke. This is Klaira's second win on the GolfWeek Jr Tour
It was Will Browing's first event with the GolfWeek Jr Tour and he made his debut with a victory. Will opened up the day with a 76 and was only 1 shot behind Cayse Morgan's 75. It was the afternoon round of 73 where Will tied for low round of the tournament in his division, and took home the first place trophy.
It was a good day for the Barnum family as Brady Barnum claimed the victory with two great rounds of 75-73, and his 10 year old younger brother carded a 75 in the afternoon to take home third place. Brady played solid all day with out any score worse than a bogey on the scorecard and 3 birdies along the way. His solid play would earn him his first victory on the GolfWeek Jr Tour.
