2023 Fall Players of the Year

Congratulations to our 2023 Fall Players of the Year! With our season running from June 1-May 31, we award a fall player of the year award for all points leaders for the events played from June-November. The season long Player of the Year race concludes at the Tour Championship over Memorial Day weekend. The winners are Peyton Blackard (Boys 16-19), Eli Wessel (Boys 14-15), Lorna Zhang (Girls 15-19), Ellie Gonzalez-Ribble (Girls 14U) and Blaise Barnum (Boys 13U).

Peyton Blackard of Fort Branch, IN is our Boys 16-19 Fall Player of the Year. In 7 events, Peyton played his way to five top 3 finishes, including one win and one runner up. His win came at UK Big Blue in November, firing rounds of 73-66 to take home the win. Peyton amassed an impressive 72.14 scoring average in his 14 rounds last fall, which included four sub 70 rounds. Peyton is committed to play at the University of Notre Dame. Congratulations, Peyton!

Eli Wessel of Indianapolis, IN is our Boys 14-15 Fall Player of the Year. Eli competed in 7 events and racked up 4 wins, two seconds and one third place finish. This included wins in three straight starts! Eli dominated the events at college courses, winning at the University of Michigan, Purdue University Kampen, Purdue University Ackerman and Ball State's Delaware CC. Eli averaged 72.21 in his 14 rounds last fall, which included 4 rounds under par. Congratulations, Eli!

Lorna Zhang of Plain City, OH is our Girls 15-19 Fall Player of the Year! Lorna competed in 5 events and finished in the top 4 in each event. Her win came at the Elite Event at Northstar CC in July, winning in a playoff after posting rounds of 75-70. Lorna's steady play included 9 of 10 rounds in the 70's and a 75.9 scoring average. Congratulations, Lorna!

Ellie Gonzalez-Ribble is our Girls 14 and Under Fall Player of the Year! Ellie competed in four events and earned an impressive three victories and one runner up finish. Ellie won in three straight starts at the University of Michigan, Darby Creek, and at Wright State University's Heatherwoode GC. Ellie's win at U of M club was a 14 shot victory! Congratulations, Ellie!

Blaise Barnum of Dublin, OH is our Boys 13 and Under Fall Player of the Year! Blaise played fantastic golf last fall, winning 4 times in 5 starts including 4 wins in 4 starts. Blaise posted 4 rounds in the 60's and 5 rounds under par, and an impressive 71.9 scoring average. Congratulations, Blaise!
