2022 Fall Players of the Year
Meadow Tian of Columbus, OH leads the player of the year race in the Girls 15-19 division. Her 5 events this summer and fall included five top 6 finishes, a runner up and two wins. Meadow carded rounds of 72-71 at Heatherwoode Golf Club in July, winning by an impressive nine shots. Her second win of the season came at NCR Country Club in October, winning by one stroke with rounds of 73-70. Her second round 70 at NCR was her low round of the season, and Meadow averaged 74.4 across her five starts.
Ellie Gonzalez-Ribble of Brunswick, OH leads the player of the year race in the Girls 14U division. Ellie's 5 events this summer and fall included five top 8 finishes, two runner up's and one victory at the University of Michigan club. Her low round of the fall came at a windy Kearney Hill Golf Links, carding a 74 in the second round.
Brycen Tisch of Zionsville, IN leads the player of the year race in the Boys 13U division. His impressive play over 8 starts included eight top 7 finishes, two 3rd place finishes, one runner up, and three wins. Brycen won in back-to-back starts this summer at Purdue University and Indiana University. He carded rounds of 71-75 at Purdue Ackerman to win by five and rounds of 75-73 at the Pfau course at IU to win by four. Brycen captured his third win in September at Michigan State University with rounds of 74-75. Brycen's steady play led to a 73.75 scoring average in 16 rounds.
CJ Scohy of Bellbrook, OH leads the Boys 14-15 player of the year race. CJ recorded six top 5's in six events including one runner up and three victories. CJ won in back-to-back starts this summer. His round of 71 at the rain shortened NCR Country Club was good for a three-shot win. His rounds of 70-74 at Dayton Country Club also earned him a three-shot victory. CJ capped off his solid summer with a six-shot victory at NorthStar Golf Club with rounds of 70-72. CJ's shot his low round of 70 twice this summer and averaged 74.1 across 10 rounds.
Thomas Broshears of Evansville, IN leads the way in the Boys 16-19 player of the year race. In seven events, Thomas has four top 10's, one runner up and one victory. Thomas won at the University of Michigan event, with rounds of 73-74 for a one-shot victory. His low round of the season of 68 came at Purdue Ackerman, earning him a runner up finish. Thomas averaged 75.6 this season over 14 rounds.
