Ryu again, Cherubini on home course

In his first win on the GolfWeek Jr Tour, Eric Cherubini had two solid rounds of 70-69 to secure the Boys 16-19 title and the overall Boys 14-19 title by 1 stroke. His win did require a late round hole out on the 15th hole to pull even with Ryan O'Rourke and Aidan Gutierrez. Eric would play the final 3 holes 1 over par which was good enough to post a final round 69 and claim the overall title at NCR CC.

With another weekend of consistent play, Audrey Ryu wins the Girls 15-19 title at Dayton CC and the overall girls title. Audrey recorded 2 birdies and 21 pars for the weekend on her way to back-to-back weekend titles on the GolfWeek Jr Tour which moves her into 2nd place in the Player of the Year race. She is only 10 points behind Emily Hummer and looks to over take her in the coming week at Kearney Hill.

Aidan Gutierrez came out firing in Saturday's round at NCR CC with 5 birdies and 3 bogies to claim the medalist honors in round one. Sunday's round started with another 4 birdies on the front nine before settling for a 72 and the Boys 14-15 title by 4 strokes over Mitchell Strickland. In 4 starts on the GolfWeek Jr Tour, Aidan has finished no worse than tied for 2nd place.

McKenzie Miller erased a 5 stroke deficit on Sunday with her 38 on the back nine which included 2 birdies on her way to win the Girls 14 & Under division by just 1 stroke. Her Sunday round of 82 marked the low round for the tournament by 3 strokes and was just enough for her first win since 2018 on the GolfWeek Jr Tour

Caleb Schnarr captured his first win on the GolfWeek Jr Tour with an impressive 71 on Sunday that included an eagle and 2 birdies. His birdie on the 17th hole was the extra stroke he needed to shave coming in to be able to barely win by 1 stroke over Bradford Lacefield and Cayse Morgan who also posted strong finishing rounds of 72 and 71 respectively.

Also worth noting, Seth Barker made a hole-in-one on #2 in the second round!
