Lyman's Sunday 68, at Purgatory

Lyman Brackett started Sunday's round 3 strokes back of the leaders and in need of a near perfect round to make a come back. He was able to accomplish that with 4 birdies and no bogies in his Sunday round of 4 under par 68. His two under par total was enough to win the Boys 16-19 division by four strokes and the overall Boys 14-19 division by two. Lyman's solid play on the weekend included 6 birdies and 4 bogies on the longest golf course the GolfWeek Jr Tour plays, 7,000+ Purgatory Golf Club.

Coming in at even par for the weekend and taking home the Boys 14-15 title, Ray Filter posted two solid rounds of 73-71. Ray was able to edge out Gavin Hare by 2 strokes on Sunday by going out in 35 with a birdie on #9 and then making the turn and carding another birdie on #10. He would give one stroke back on #14, but it was enough to keep him ahead of Gavin Hare who posted a final nine hole score of 34.

Jackson Harris maybe posted the round of the tournament with a 69 on Sunday with more than half of the round in pouring rain. After having to stop play on the 4th fairway due to saturated greens, Jackson would start back up with a birdie on #5 and go on to the back nine to card a 33 which featured a chip in eagle on the par 5 18th hole. Jackson distanced himself from the field by 6 strokes with that eagle and claimed the Boys 13 & Under title.

Ava Bunker played two great rounds of golf with a 77 and then in the worst weather of the Fall and down pouring rain for most of her round, fired an 85 on Sunday. Playing in the first tee time, she was still able to record 8 pars on a cold, and wet Sunday round. She took home the Girls 15-19 title and is undefeated on the GolfWeek Jr Tour this Fall in two events.
