Playoff at Chatham

It took a career low round on Sunday for the Baylor University commit, Drew Wrightson, to win the Boys 16-19 division and get himself into a playoff for the overall Boys 14-19 title. His amazing round of 64 was capped off with an eagle on the 17th hole and a birdie on the 18th. His 7 birdies and an eagle was good enough for an eight under par round of 64 and tied Aidan Gutierrez for the overall title.

The playoff would cover hole #10-#13, where Drew would make 3 solid pars before a birdie on the par 5, #13, would gain him the overall Boys 14-19 title.

Aidan Gutierrez claimed medalist honors on Saturday with a 3 under par round of 69 that included 5 birdies and an eagle. His Sunday round looked like he was heading in the wrong direction, though, with a bogey on the second hole, and an out of bounds on the second shot on the par five 5th hole. After that shot, though, Aidan would play flawless golf by saving a bogey on the 5th hole, and then going on to eagle the 7th, and post 3 other birdies the remainder of the round to cap off another 69. His two rounds of 69 would claim him the Boys 14-15 title by 6 strokes and earn him a playoff with Drew Wrightson for the overall title. Although he would lose in the playoff, Aidan's two rounds will mark one of the best performances of the Fall for the Boys 14-15 division.
