Bishop triumphs through the delays

Hueston Woods July 11-12, 2020: Teddi Bishop posted the low round of the day both Saturday and Sunday on her way to a 5 stroke victory for the overall Girls title. Sunday brought thunderstorms and Teddi was able to come back after the delay and play even par to finish her round and take home the title over Jenna Harter and Nicole Deline who finished second and third respectively.

Brock Rumpke posted his first victory on the GolfWeek Jr Tour with an overall win in the Boys 14-19 division. Standing on the 10th tee when the horns blew for lightning, Brock rode out the delay and came out with an even par back nine to close out the victory and take home the overall title by just 1 shot.

With storms rolling in Reagan Ramage was able to card one of the best nine hole totals of any girl for the weekend. A back nine 37 with only 1 bogey and 8 pars was what she needed to distance herself from the field and post a final round 79 to claim the victory.

Micah Betram posted the low round of the tournament on day 1 with a two under par, 70. Going into Sunday with a commanding lead he he birdied the first hole and completed his round of 74 to take home a 3 shot victory over Lucas Bischoff.

Finley Barlett is off to a strong start in the 2020-2021 season with 2 wins in his first 2 starts. Starting Sunday 2 strokes off the lead, Finley caught his stride on #7 with another eagle on that par 5, and then finished the back nine with a 34 to capture another title in the Boys 13 & Under division
