From the fourth hole on, Surtani would never trail and he would add birdies at 13 and 17 for good measure.

Drew Miller

Drew Miller birdied the sixth hole of a playoff in defeating Maverick Conaway in the Boys 14-15 division at Chatham Hills.

Miller shot 73-77—150 to Conaway’s 75-75—150 in regulation to set up the playoff. Both players went to the 10th hole to settle matters and reeled off four straight pars before both posted birdies at the 14th, setting up Miller’s winning birdie at the 15th.

After back-to-back birdies at 10 and 11 in the final round, Miller stumbled with a triple bogey and double bogey on the next two holes to bring Conaway even. Conaway’s consecutive birdies at 13-14 gave him a 1-shot lead which he would hold until Miller birdied the final hole of regulation.

Max VanderMolen shot 77-77—154 to finish alone in third place while Connor McNeely shot 76-79—155 to take fourth. Leo Wessel rounded out the top five with scores of 79-77—156.
