Lee rolls at Beavercreek

BEAVERCREEK, Ohio – Amelia Lee routed the field in the Girls 15-19 division at Beavercreek Golf Club, notching her first GJT win.
Lee fired rounds of 74-70—144 to beat Emily Warner and Gwynnie Lee by 13 shots.
Her eagle at the second hole of the first round helped her build a 7-shot lead, then she saved her best for last in Sunday’s final round. She posted five birdies Sunday in the only round under par for the tournament.
Warner shot 82-75—157 while Gwynnie Lee 84-73—157 in tying for second place.
Lizzie Saur shot 84-74—158 to claim sole possession of fourth place while Julia Rabadam rounded out the top five at 82-77—159.
Groomes picks up first GJT win

Tyler Groomes held off Alex Cabungcal by one shot to earn his first GJT win in the Boys 16-19 division at Beavercreek.
Groomes, who posted rounds of 76-72—148, made his move on Sunday’s back nine by posting birdies at 10, 12 and 13 to grab the lead. He closed with all pars and a bogey at the 16th while Cabungcal managed to par each of the final six holes in earning a runner-up finish.
Alex Gomia shot 77-73—150 to finish in a tie for third with Benjamin Ramold, who fired rounds of 76-74—150.
Rounding out the top five was Jared DeVille, who shot 75-76—151.
Long notches Boys 14-15 and overall titles

Michael Long fired a final-round 69 to storm to victory in both the Boys 14-15 division and Boys overall division at Beavercreek.
Long found himself looking up at the leaders following a first-round 77 that included a triple bogey on the tournament’s opening hole. He recovered from that point with 15 pars then rallied on Sunday with four birdies against just one bogey for a 77-69—146 total.
Ty Sylla shot 76-74—150 to tie for second place with Shane Ochs, who posted rounds of 75-75—150.
Rounding out the top five were Alec Barker (77-74—151) and Aditya Reddy (75-80—155).
Rodgers wins duel in Girls 14-and-Under

Morgan Rodgers shot 88-83—171 to defeat Maureen Burns in a two-player duel in the Girls 14-and-under division at Beavercreek.
Highlighting Rodgers’ final round were a pair of birdies posted at Nos. 12 and 14.
The victory was the first for Rodgers on the GJT.
Stall claims 2-shot win in Boys 13-and-Under
Quentin Stall fired rounds of 82-85—167 to beat Bryce Kelley by two shots in the Boys 13-and-under division at Beavercreek.
Stall grabbed a commanding 6-shot lead after the first round then made birdie at the second hole Sunday to maintain control.
Kelley and Michael Stagnaro both put together formidable challenges in the final round with 80 and 79, respectively, but couldn’t completely close the wide gap forged by Stall.
Kelley finished alone in second at 89-80—169 while Stagnaro took third place at 91-79—172.
