GJT Wraps Up Largest Year in History
The Golfweek Junior Tour just wrapped up its largest and most successful year in history, hosting over 3,000 players in 44 tournaments. Players in these events were committed to 70+ Division 1 schools including: Florida State, Vanderbilt, Purdue, Ohio State, Michigan, Georgia Tech, Michigan State, UNLV, Auburn, Wisconsin, North Carolina, Notre Dame, Illinois, Penn State, Clemson, Duke, Kentucky, Wake Forest, and more.
Numerous records fell throughout the year including the Boys 54 hole scoring record (now -17) and the Girls 36 hole scoring record (now -10). A record of 5 new players joined the Hall of Fame in 2018. On top of all the success on the Tour, many current and former players have achieved incredible success in other events as well. Coaches are always interested in knowing which players are committed to schools, so they can respect that player’s decision.
