Lorenzo Pinili

Maybank played a frenetic opening 11 holes Sunday, registering four bogeys and four birdies to stay with Sui, but bogeys at 16 and 17 proved too much to overcome in the end.

Lorenzo Pinili posted rounds of 72-71—143 to take fourth place while Ben Hirasawa placed fifth with rounds of 76-68—144. Ben Burgan posted the round of day Sunday with a 67 to finish alone in sixth at 78-67—145.

Drew Coble

Drew Coble fired a final-round 2-under-par 69 to rally from a 4-shot deficit in winning the Boys 16-19 division at the University of Michigan Golf Course.

Coble shot 74-69—143 to beat Sudarshan Yellamaraju by two strokes after being the only player in the field to fire a Sunday sub-par round. The victory was Coble’s first on the GJT in two appearances.

Coble entered the final round four shots behind Alek Mauro then made his move starting with a birdie at the par-4 6th. He followed that up with a birdie at the 10th then again at 13 and 15. Mauro experienced trouble early with bogeys at 3 and 4 before a double bogey at the sixth moved him into the pack.

Yellamaraju started the final round two shots off the lead and also found himself in trouble early Sunday with bogey on No.2 and double bogey at the third. He rallied with birdies at 6, 7 and 9 and closed with a birdie at the last to finish alone in second place at 72-73—145.
