Hall of Fame

The Hall of Fame is a representation of the players that have had the best all around careers on the Golfweek Junior Tour. The players profiled below have received numerous accolades, won high school state championships, and won tournaments at the national level. Hall of Fame members get in by way of meeting the criteria. The criteria is as follows: 4 career GJT wins at any level with at least 2 in the 14-19 Boys overall age group or 2 in the 15-19 Girls age group*.

Ryan Ford

Ryan Ford amassed 4 wins on the Golfweek Junior Tour. His last two wins came at Purgatory Golf Club and Ackerman-Allen with 2 round totals of 134, 10 under par, at both. He recorded a career low 64 at Ackerman-Allen Golf Course. Ryan had a career scoring average of 74.9. Ryan started at the University of Cincinnati after finishing his high school career.

Kary Hollenbaugh

Kary amassed 7 wins in her time on the Golfweek Junior Tour. She made the All-Golfweek Team in 3 straight seasons, including Player of the Year in 2019-20. She had 19 top 5 finishes in only 23 tournaments and a career scoring average on the GJT on 77.8. At the time of her induction, she was the youngest player to ever make the Hall of Fame. She joined the Ohio State program in the fall of 2022.

Chloe Johnson

Chloe amassed 4 victories in her 5 years playing on the Golfweek Junior Tour. She shot a career low 67 on Sunday at Nevel Meade Golf Club in 2021 to secure her 4th win and get into the Hall of Fame. She was been dominant during her last years with 9 rounds of par or better. She had a career scoring average of 75.8. In the fall of 2022, she joined the Furman golf team.

Tyler Sabo

Tyler had 7 wins in his time on the Golfweek Junior Tour. He won 3 times during the 2019-2020 season. In November of 2020, Tyler fired a 65 at Harmony Landing Country Club to complete a 7 shot come-from-behind victory. He averaged a 74.0 across his 6 seasons on the GJT. Tyler went on to play golf for Ohio State once he wrapped up his junior career.

Rylan Wotherspoon

Rylan had 8 Golfweek Junior Tour wins. He was the 2018-2019 Tour Player of the Year and twice landed on the All-Golfweek team. He had 12 top-5 finishes in 14 career events. Rylan posted a career scoring average of 72.3, one of the best in Golfweek history. After his junior career ended in late summer 2022, he went off to play for the University of Cincinnati.

*In 2012-2013 and 2013-2014 there was no Boys 14-19 division. The Boys 13-19 division takes the place of that for those years. For a win to count towards the Hall of Fame criteria, the following field sizes must be met: Boys 14-19 (20 players need to start the event), Boys 14-15 (15 players need to start the event), Boys 16-19 (15 players need to start the event), Boys 13 and Under (10 players need to start the event), Girls 15-19 (10 players need to start the event), Girls 14 and Under (5 players need to start the event), Girls Overall (12 players need to start the event).
