Hall of Fame
The Hall of Fame is a representation of the players that have had the best all around careers on the Golfweek Junior Tour. The players profiled below have received numerous accolades, won high school state championships, and won tournaments at the national level. Hall of Fame members get in by way of meeting the criteria. The criteria is as follows: 4 career GJT wins at any level with at least 2 in the 14-19 Boys overall age group or 2 in the 15-19 Girls age group*.
High School Class of 2018
Noah Gillard
Noah won 7 tournaments in his time on the Golfweek Junior Tour. In his last two tournaments on the GJT, he shot a combined 12 under par. In 22 career tournaments, he only finished outside of the top 10 once. Noah wrapped up his career with a 76.9 scoring average. After high school, he joined one of the country's top programs at the University of Illinois.
Avery Green
Avery racked up 4 career wins on the Golfwek Junior Tour. He posted 10 top 10 finishes in just 15 events. Avery won at Elks Run in back to back years and missed a three-peat by just 2 strokes. He graduated high school with a 75.1 career GJT scoring average. After a great junior career, Avery went off to play golf for Northern Kentucky University.
Katie Hallinan
Katie finished with 7 victories on the Golfweek Junior Tour. She won her first tournament at Yankee Trace back in 2013 and has never looked back. She won the 2016 Tour Championship and was the 2013-2014 Girls 14 and Under Player of the Year. Katie ended with a 79.0 career scoring average. She joined the Illinois women's golf program in 2018.
Sophia Trombetta
Sophia recorded 4 wins over her career on the GJT. Sophia owns a share of the lowest 18 hole record with a 66. Sophia is the only girl and one of only two players in GJT history to be named to the All-Golfweek Team 4 times. She owns a 77.7 career scoring average. Sophia joined the University of Michigan women's golf team in the fall of 2018.
Hadley Walts
Hadley won 4 times throughout her career on the Golfweek Junior Tour. She set the 15-19 Girls division scoring record at Heatherwoode Golf Club in the spring of 2017. She placed in the top 5 in each of her last 5 tournaments. Hadley has a career scoring record of 82.2. She went off to play for the University of Tennessee after graduation.
*In 2012-2013 and 2013-2014 there was no Boys 14-19 division. The Boys 13-19 division takes the place of that for those years. For a win to count towards the Hall of Fame criteria, the following field sizes must be met: Boys 14-19 (20 players need to start the event), Boys 14-15 (15 players need to start the event), Boys 16-19 (15 players need to start the event), Boys 13 and Under (10 players need to start the event), Girls 15-19 (10 players need to start the event), Girls 14 and Under (5 players need to start the event), Girls Overall (12 players need to start the event).
