Hoosier at IU

Future Hoosier, Robbie Bender, put together two rounds of 68-68 to win the first ever tournament at Indiana University's brand new Pfau Golf Course this past weekend. His scorecard included 11 birdies and just 5 bogies to win the Boys 16-19 division by 9 strokes. On a weekend that saw weather delays, rain, and wind he never carded worse than a bogey for 36 holes. He also won the overall Boys 14-19 title by 2 strokes over Michael Long, who carded 69-69.

Michael Long also ran away from his division, the Boys 14-15. His rounds of 69-69 claimed him a 9 stroke victory as he put on a late charge to try and claim the overall victory. He played his final 12 holes on Sunday in 3 under par with no bogies as he got to 4 under. Ultimately he came up just 2 strokes shy of Robbie Bender, however, his great play claimed a division victory over Leo Wessel, who carded the second low round of the day with a 72 to take home 2nd place in the Boys 14-15 division.
